Facials & Aesthetic Treatments

Clinical Facials in Lexington, KY

Skin concerns rarely have a single cause. Sun exposure, hormones, stress, genetics, nutrition, age, and environmental factors all leave their mark on how the skin looks, feels, and functions. Patients often notice changes in texture, tone, clarity, or firmness and over-the-counter products often aren't enough to produce real change. At LexEnhance Aesthetics & Wellness, our physician-led aesthetic services address these concerns through evidence-based treatments performed by our clinically trained esthetician team. Our approach blends the medical approach of Dr. David Rodeberg and Dr. Jill Collins with professional esthetician services and advanced device-based therapies, giving patients an alternative to neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and invasive cosmetic procedures.

What Clinical Aesthetic Services Treat

Every patient begins with a consultation to identify primary concerns, skin type, and goals before any treatment is recommended. Our aesthetic services are designed to address a wide range of visible and underlying skin concerns, including:

  • Hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone
  • Sun damage, age spots, and dull or tired-looking skin
  • Fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of firmness
  • Enlarged pores and rough texture
  • Acne, congestion, and post-inflammatory scarring
  • Redness, rosacea, and vascular concerns
  • Skin preparation before or recovery after clinical procedures

Esthetician-Led Med Spa Services

LexEnhance offers a range of in-office esthetician services for patients who want consistent, professional skincare as part of their routine.

Our clinical facials are customized to the patient and designed to do more than relax — they produce measurable results through professional-grade products and targeted techniques. Options include hydrating and nourishing treatments, clarifying facials for congested or acne-prone skin, brightening protocols for tone and radiance, and anti-aging facials that support firmness and texture over time.

  • Chemical Peels

Chemical peels use clinical exfoliants to encourage cellular turnover, smooth out texture, and improve tone. LexEnhance offers peels designed for regular use to more resurfacing peels that address key concerns like pigmentation, sun damage, or deeper texture.

  • Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a gentle, non-invasive exfoliation that removes surface dead skin cells and fine hair. The result is a smoother, brighter complexion and improved absorption of skincare products. Dermaplaning may be offered as a standalone treatment or combined with facials and peels for more complete resurfacing. We're a certified Sorella Dermaplane Pro Partner.

Device-Based Aesthetic Treatments

In addition to esthetician services, LexEnhance delivers advanced device-based treatments that address texture, pigmentation, and cellular-level skin concerns. These technologies offer results that topical products alone cannot produce.

  • Exion® RF Microneedling

Powered by BTL, Exion® RF microneedling combines precision microneedling with radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen and elastin production at the deeper layers of the skin. This device uses sophisticated AI to reach further than traditional microneedling tools, producing more consistent results with less downtime. EXION® RF microneedling addresses fine lines, acne scarring, enlarged pores, skin laxity, and overall texture, making it one of the most versatile treatments we offer. The fine-point handpiece delivers targeted radiofrequency to smaller, more detailed areas—such as periorbital lines, smoker lines, or along the jaw for patients who want focused improvement in places that broader treatments may not fully reach.

  • Exion® RF Clear

RF Clear is a needle-free system that focuses on unwanted pigmentation, facial redness, and uneven tone for patients who want clearer, more even skin without the downtime of more aggressive resurfacing treatments. Exion Clear is safe for all skin types and tones, including deeper and richer complexions that many competitor pigmentation devices cannot safely treat.

The Cinderella Lip treatment creates fuller, more hydrated lips without traditional injectable fillers. This is a good option for patients who want lip enhancement through a non-injection approach.

Dermapen4 (DP4) is an FDA-cleared, professional-grade microneedling skin pen engineered to create precise micro-channels across the skin to increase blood circulation, collagen production, and other  growth factors that support the skin.

DP4 sessions can be scheduled every three weeks and can be used with other therapy methods like light therapy as part of a whole care plan.

    • Celluma MYSTIQUE LED Mask: This FDA-cleared LED mask treats the face and scalp at the same time. Three clinically validated wavelengths delivered through 168 LEDs in a hands-free mask for treating aging skin, acne, and hair growth, with dual-mode options.
    • Celluma NOVA: A compact, FDA-cleared 5-mode panel for targeted treatment of aging skin, acne, hair growth, pain, and body contouring. Used for spot work on smaller areas and for layered uses where a full face mask isn't the right tool.
    • iRestore Apex Half-Body LED Panel: A clinical-grade red and near-infrared light across eight wavelengths used for full-body skin firmness, recovery after aesthetic treatments, and patients addressing collagen, inflammation, or pain alongside their skin concerns.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who is a good candidate for aesthetic treatments?

Clinical facials and aesthetic treatments work well for all skin types, including deeper and richer skin tones that many competitors cannot safely treat. These services are designed for adults of all ages who:

    • Want measurable improvement in skin tone, texture, clarity, or firmness.
    • Are experiencing hyperpigmentation, sun damage, fine lines, or uneven skin tone.
    • Are dealing with acne, congestion, or breakouts that haven't responded to home care.
    • Want professional support before or after body contouring, weight loss, or other clinical treatments.
    • Are looking for a consistent, maintenance-focused approach to skin health.
    • Do not have any contraindications listed below*
  • How do I know which treatment is right for me?

A consultation with the clinical team helps identify your primary concerns, skin type, and goals. From there, you'll receive recommendations based on what will produce the best results for your individual situation.

  • What can I expect during treatment?

Every patient receives a skin and skincare consultation before any service. During your initial consultation, the clinical team reviews your skin history, primary concerns, and goals before recommending a treatment plan. Many aesthetic concerns respond best to a series of treatments rather than a single session, and the clinical team will outline a timeline that fits your schedule and expectations.

Session length varies by treatment — most clinical facials and peels take 45 to 60 minutes, while device-based treatments like RF microneedling typically last 30 to 60 minutes depending on the area treated. Downtime also varies: some services require no recovery at all, while others involve a few days of mild redness or flaking as the skin renews. Patients receiving RF microneedling, IPL, and certain peels receive a complimentary skincare preparation and healing kit to support results between sessions.

  • How many treatments will I need?

It depends on the service and your concerns. Many treatments produce visible improvement after a single session, but a series of 3 to 6 sessions is often recommended for concerns like pigmentation, acne scarring, or texture.

  • Is there downtime involved with my peel or aesthetic treatment?

Downtime varies by treatment. Facials, dermaplaning, and light therapy typically require no recovery. Chemical peels may involve mild flaking. RF microneedling can cause temporary redness or sensitivity for a few days.

  • Are these treatments safe for deeper skin tones?

Yes. The BTL EXION® platform is safe for all skin types, including deeper and richer skin tones that many competitor devices cannot safely treat.

  • Can I combine multiple services in one visit?

In many cases, yes. The clinical team can recommend combinations that work well together, such as pairing dermaplaning with a chemical peel or adding light therapy to a facial.

*Contraindications:  Not all patients are candidates for every aesthetic service. You may need a modified treatment approach if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding  (depending on the specific treatment), or if you have any of the following: active skin infections or open wounds in the treatment area, a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring (for resurfacing treatments), certain photosensitive conditions or recent use of photosensitizing medications (for light-based treatments), recent use of certain topical prescription medications, or electronic or metal implants in the treatment area (for RF-based treatments). If you have questions about whether a specific treatment is right for you, we encourage you to schedule a consultation so our clinical team can evaluate your skin and recommend a safe, effective plan.
